About Me
Michele Young-Crook is Algonquin with mixed heritage. Michele has a talent for creating solutions and implementing them in her role as president of M Young Crook Consulting, a company that helps organizations transition and mitigate tasks and risks. With over 15 years of experience growing a national organization and more than two decades in the marketing and sales industries. Michele’s experience as a stand-up comedian, lived experiences, and charisma has always kept a crowd engaged and wanting more. Hence, it seemed like a natural fit for her to move into hosting events and public speaking opportunities.
Michele is a serial entrepreneur with multiple eCommerce businesses, consulting firm and the recent launching of a series of children’s books. Even with her packed schedule, Michele always makes time for causes that matter. Michele is a director on the Board of Canadian Juries Commission, director on the Come Back Society Society, committee member for the Human Rights Watch dinner committee, and admin Indigenous Women’s Holiday Market with over 80,000 members.

With over 11 years of hosting events, engaging audiences with her lived experiences, and an adaptable spirit, she is the right fit for any engagement. She is proof that focus and determination can get you to your goals. Michele managed to grow a national charity from the ground up and start multiple eCommerce platforms. Previously suffering from imposter syndrome, she learned quickly how to adapt to change and what it means to roll with the punches. Michele has a diverse work background; car sales, gym management, bartending, stand-up comedian, and retail management. She knows how to motivate any group of people while making them laugh from the many hats she has had to wear her entire life.

Michele offers a variety of customized workshops, from how to run effective meetings, capturing your target audience to the importance of having a personal brand that you can stand behind. Michele ensures that she works with each client to achieve the outcomes they are seeking. Having over 15 years of experience in hosting and curating events, Michele knows how to keep the audience engaged but also informed. In 2021 she hosted over 16 workshops virtually and averaged ten annually in previous years.

Michele is all about organization and will work with you to see what needs to be done and in what order to meet your key outcomes. Michele is all about simplifying complicated tasks. With her experience in starting projects, businesses and growing them on a minimal size team, she knows a thing or two on the importance of organizational thought. Michele will help the client develop a concept that will help them mitigate their tasks and achieve the outcomes they are looking for. She will work with you to set targets and organize them to ensure you have your ducks in a row and don’t feel like you are herding cats.
